Keshav Moudgil

Hi!
I’m Keshav Moudgil, of age 14 from New Delhi, India. I play Bansuri (bamboo flute), Drums and Tabla.

Music for me is a way to express myself and my sense of creativity. I find joy in creating my own music and playing for others. I started music when I was around the age of 5 and I’ve been blessed with amazing teachers since. My first music teacher was my drum teacher who introduced me to the drums and I learnt my first song, ‘We Will Rock You’ by the well known band ‘Queen.’

I moved to India when I was 8, and when I reached I was welcomed by another drum teacher who taught me for a long time in my musical journey. He helped me clear Trinity Rock N Pop grade 8 in drums. Soon my curiosity grew, and I extended to more instruments and Hindustani classical instruments attracted me the most.

I now have two Gurujis who teach me Tabla and Bansuri. I have been playing them for about a year now and am still practicing everyday. I find immense joy playing compositions in any instrument and plan on learning as many instruments as i can. Personally, I don't listen to a lot of music everyday but when I do I stick to a few songs from the Beatles and Twenty One Pilots. I'm also a fan of rock music but I’m not really into Metal. A few artists I look up to are composers like A.R Rahman, who is very talented at composing and fusing different elements of music.

In the future I'd love to explore the different fusions we can create as diverse musicians. I think this platform could personally be very useful to help me collaborate with people specializing in other genres or types of music from around the world.
